From his studio in Sharon, Vermont Mike Biegel creates elaborate pen
& ink illustrations for corporate, small business and editorial clients. His technique includes two styles- a fine-line
application using a crow-quill pen and a bold-line applied by mechanical pen. Both can be electronically embellished with color.
Many are left as black and white pieces to stand on their own. His clients have included The Metropolitan Opera Guild, AT&T,
Milton Bradley, Outside, Scholastic, Simon Pearce Glassworks and more...
The Vermont landscape and its change in seasons have been a long
time inspiration for the artist. It's worth a visit to his independent e-commerce web site
www.vermontholidaycards.com to see the effect. Consumers and businesses alike can purchase holiday cards with
pre-printed or custom greetings of the illustrator's work (as well as prints suitable for framing).
Those curious about personal commissions of
their home in the artist's crow-quill pen style can
view samples by clicking on any link for the house portraits section.
If you have an architectural assignment this page includes reference for stylized alternatives to
illustrated homes, buildings and other structures.
In between freelance assignments the artist can be found skiing the woods at
Killington Resort, trail running the switchbacks of West Hill in Sharon or endeavoring to maintain his oversized vegetable garden.
